Installing Debian via preseed

Heading 2

Start typing. This is the first part on the main page.

My DHCP server is served from my edgerouter and thus has limited configuration options for DHCP. At least the (Debian documentation)[https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/apbs02.en.html#preseed-dhcp] for the DHCP server could not be used in full. I just used the filename part

set service dhcp-server shared-network-name DHCP_LAN subnet 192.168.28.0/24 bootfile-name "http://juilin.andor.aybara.org/preseed.cfg"

https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/PartMan = information on the partitioning via preseed. https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/debian-installer/blob/master/doc/devel/partman-auto-recipe.txt = official debian docs https://thornelabs.net/posts/debian-ubuntu-preseed-documentation-and-working-examples.html mentions that partman will always use all the LVM space on the last partition

empty partition always gives the message: “no file system is specified for partition”, according to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-auto-lvm/+bug/971608 it can be stopped by setting

d-i partman-basicmethods/method_only boolean false

The manual network configuration only supports IPv4 OR IPv6.
